About the role#
The When We Count Fellowship is a part-time program designed to train young supporters in voter registration and organizing. Fellows will receive weekly training from senior political campaign operatives on registration tactics, including both in-person and relational organizing methods. Participants will join a national network of organizers focused on electing Democrats in the 2026 election cycle.
What you'll do#
- Organize and register Democratic voters in your local community.
- Participate in weekly training sessions on voter registration and organizing tactics.
- Meet weekly registration goals.
- Engage with a national network of fellow organizers.
- Work approximately ten hours per week.
What you'll need#
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 29.
- A strong interest in organizing Democratic voters.
- Ability to work independently and manage personal goals.
- A commitment to diversity.
- Relevant academic background in fields such as Political Science, Sociology, Communications, International Relations, or Business Administration is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, paid fellowship.
- The program offers a semi-monthly stipend of $400.
- Initial cohorts will launch in Arizona and Nevada, with potential for expansion to other states throughout 2026.
- Fellows may indicate their preferred start month, with initial programs beginning in March and April 2026 and additional cohorts onboarding throughout the summer.
