About the role#
This internship supports the Aftermarket Logistics and Operations team at Daimler Truck North America. You will assist in the multi-year initiative to upgrade Warehouse Management Systems to the EWM platform. This project involves building a centralized template to drive the future of warehouse operations across 11 Parts Distribution Centers. You will work closely with vendors, IT, supply chain, and finance teams to support project delivery and organizational change management.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics team to implement future strategy roadmaps.
- Create detailed process documentation and design visual aids for project dashboards.
- Develop methods to report and track risk factors.
- Support project leads in executing deliverables on time and within budget.
- Coordinate meetings, manage action items, and drive topics to closure.
- Prepare status reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Manage post-launch activities and assist in the design of warehouse system improvements.
- Use analytical methods to understand and enhance distribution processes.
- Coordinate organizational change management activities, including newsletters and team communications.
- Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher, or a recent graduate within one year of the start date.
- A degree in Logistics, Distribution Operations, or a related field.
- Understanding of project management methodologies like Waterfall or Agile.
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, CALM, Microsoft Office, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- A creative mindset and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and change.
- A passion for the automotive or trucking industry.
- Training or experience in lean principles and problem-solving techniques is preferred.

- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $21 - $29 per hour, depending on graduation year.
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States. This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
