About the role#
The Aftermarket Supply Chain team manages the delivery of Power Train parts to our distribution network. This internship offers hands-on experience in procurement and logistics, focusing on ensuring parts reach our 11 distribution centers on time. You will work directly with suppliers and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly and minimize vehicle downtime.
What you'll do#
- Manage a deck of parts to procure from third-party suppliers.
- Review backorders daily and coordinate with operations, transportation, and purchasing to resolve delivery issues.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding part status and lead times.
- Analyze your part deck to identify and reduce excess inventory.
- Collaborate with central planning and other groups to find the root cause of recurring supply issues.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future problems.
- Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program or higher, or graduation within the last year.
- A degree focus in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working within SAP and Salesforce applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on critical business metrics and act with urgency.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners.
