About the role#
As a Reliability Engineering Support Intern, you will investigate emerging and systemic product issues to determine root causes and drive corrective actions. You will work across departments including Quality, Engineering, Supplier Management, and Aftersales to resolve complex field problems. Your work supports customer uptime and product quality by amplifying the voice of the customer within the organization.
What you'll do#
- Analyze product performance data using statistical applications to determine the scope and severity of issues.
- Guide troubleshooting efforts and investigate product failures.
- Prepare materials for quality and safety review committees.
- Initiate and coordinate field actions, including the publication of Service Solutions, Technical Service Bulletins, Recalls, and Customer Advisory letters.
- Communicate field actions to dealer technicians and coordinate with the TechComm team for manual updates.
- Analyze financial benefits to determine the appropriateness of field campaigns.
- Provide technical support to Field Staff, Field Sales Engineering, and internal technical support teams.
- Travel to troubleshoot and diagnose product problems in the field.
- Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program or higher, or graduated within the last year, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance.
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- A creative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in an environment of ongoing change.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a drive to develop focused solutions.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of internal combustion engine operation, including mechanical, electronic, and software controls.
- Preferred: Experience in the automotive or trucking industry.

- Schedule: Full-time, hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote).
