Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition from didactic pharmacy education to real-world practice in preparation for a Pharmacist role. You will support pharmacy teams in delivering consistent patient care while developing your professional skills and deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and regulatory standards.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation to advance your knowledge of store, district, and regional operations.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, counseling patients, and fielding medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow protocols across all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, professional standards, and company policies to protect patient safety and privacy.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify medication orders where permitted by state regulation.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe per state guidelines.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including availability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks such as typing and reaching.
