About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy education to real-world practice in preparation for a Pharmacist role. This program focuses on developing your skills in pharmacy operations, patient safety, and clinical service. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in delivering accurate, safe, and prompt prescription fulfillment.
- Follow standard operating procedures across all pharmacy workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, and fielding medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and company policies regarding patient safety and privacy.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as your experience and readiness increase.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability to work nights and weekends.
