About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition from pharmacy school into real-world practice. This role focuses on preparing you for a Pharmacist position by applying your education to daily operations. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, working under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader to refine your skills in patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
- Perform patient counseling and solicit medical history under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and processing medication deliveries.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and facilitate medication changes where state regulations allow.
- Maintain pharmacy operations by following standard operating procedures and contributing to a safe, inclusive team environment.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication, mathematical reasoning for prescription dispensing, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
