About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap that covers store, district, and regional operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by immersing you in daily pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Follow company SOPs and workflow procedures including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Provide service to patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to other pharmacy team members.
- Complete inventory tasks such as deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Deliver patient care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Educate patients on vaccines and monitor for potential adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
- One year of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
- Willingness to work at your home store and travel to other locations in the market to meet business needs.

- Location: Martins Ferry, Ohio.
- This is a part-time, paid position.
- The role follows a rolling term.
