About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a preceptor to gain professional experience in a community healthcare setting. You will assist the pharmacy team in delivering care and supporting patients. This role is part-time and operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all aspects of the prescription filling process.
- Provide patient counseling and assist pharmacy or front store customers with questions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Offer health screenings and immunizations.
- Manage pharmacy inventory.
- Support patient safety and adhere to regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in the state of employment.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
