About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care in a retail setting. You play a key role in maintaining a safe, effective environment while delivering quality care to patients. This position is part-time and offers the opportunity to gain professional experience in a pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to support health outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment in the pharmacy.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and established timeframes.
- Assist with pharmacy operations including inventory and workflow management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
