About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by providing hands-on experience with pharmacy operations and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap focused on pharmacy operations.
- Assist the team with prescription fulfillment at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Improve patient health by offering immunizations and other services.
- Perform basic inventory tasks such as putting away deliveries and conducting cycle counts.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
