About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This position provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while you assist the pharmacy team in delivering safe, accurate, and prompt care to patients.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at every workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care during all customer interactions, whether in person or over the phone.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and contact them to clarify information or facilitate medication changes, as allowed by state regulation.
- Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset and remaining receptive to feedback.
- Maintain focus and pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Support immunization services by educating patients and, where permitted by law and training, assisting with administration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time with rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
