About the role#
As a Retail Pharmacy Intern at Hy-Vee, you will gain hands-on experience in a pharmacy setting while working toward your pharmacy degree. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to assist with daily operations, inventory control, and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service.
- Fill and process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and the dispensing area.
- Manage inventory by ordering and stocking merchandise.
- Follow all company policies and store guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Up to six months of related work experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout your shift.
- Ability to accurately count, pour, package, and label medications.
