About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience in pharmacy operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist while you support the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate care to patients.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at every workstation to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and solicit medical history under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify orders or facilitate medication changes where state regulations allow.
- Complete inventory tasks including cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and support immunization services.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.

- Schedule: Full-time with rolling start dates.
