About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will contribute to a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while supporting patient health through the management of care programs. This role focuses on delivering quality care and modeling the values of the team.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver better outcomes.
- Promote a culture of energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
