About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a part in delivering care to patients, managing patient care programs, and maintaining pharmacy operations including workflow, inventory, and quality assurance.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to each patient with empathy and compassion.
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Align team members around the purpose of improving health outcomes.
- Complete required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
Location & details#
- Location: Union, New Jersey.
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $23.75 per hour.
