About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap that covers store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while you support our pharmacy teams in delivering consistent care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Help fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts and returns, as directed by leadership.
- Support immunizations and patient health services where allowable by law and supported by required training.
- Follow standard operating procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, and drop-off.
What you'll need#
- You must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- You must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, which includes availability for nights and weekends.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over a period of time and maintain focus.
