About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school training to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This role involves gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations while working under the direction of a preceptor.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams with daily operations and prescription fulfillment to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering counseling under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and contact prescribers for clarification when needed.
- Perform inventory tasks such as cycle counts, processing returns, and stocking medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Monitor for and respond to potential adverse reactions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to other pharmacy team members.
- Maintain compliance with privacy, security, and company standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Strong focus and attention to detail, including the ability to confirm prescription accuracy and perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks and resolve challenging interactions.

- Location: Commerce Township, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time with rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
