About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to support patient health. You will operate under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role involves managing patient care programs and delivering care to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to each patient with empathy and compassion.
- Manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Maintain a safe and effective work environment by following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Assist with inventory and workflow management.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Cranston, Rhode Island.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The pay range for this role is $20.50 to $42.00 per hour.
- This position is eligible for benefits including dental, vision, wellness resources, and employee discounts depending on hours worked.
