About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and ensuring high standards of quality and service. You will assist in daily operations while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver patient care programs and provide immunizations once eligible.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and workflow processes.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Lead with empathy, collaborating with your team to support patient health.
- Foster a positive team culture that focuses on energy and pride.
- Assist with customer service and patient safety initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
