About the role#
Cox Enterprises is hiring a Waste & Circularity Intern to join the Cox Conserves team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship that supports our enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives. You will work with internal and external partners to develop projects that reduce our environmental impact.
What you'll do#
- Support conservation efforts and strategic development across carbon, water, waste, and biodiversity.
- Collect and analyze sustainability data for various Cox divisions.
- Conduct research on how growing organizations integrate new businesses into their sustainability strategies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- A passion for environmental sustainability and resource conservation.
- An understanding of organizational sustainability and management principles.
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master's degree program in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with geospatial software is a plus.
- Certifications such as LEED or ISSP are preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and project management skills.

- Travel: This role may require 5-15% travel to business locations and external engagements.
