About the role#
The Accounting Intern joins the Cox Automotive Corporate Accounting Team to gain hands-on experience with financial records and reporting. You will support core accounting functions, assist with financial statements, and contribute to business projects. This is a paid, full-time internship that offers exposure to senior leaders and professional mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data and perform computations for financial statements.
- Ensure the accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of balance reconciliations.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Build relationships with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.
- Perform ad hoc special projects as assigned.
- Learn about Cox Automotive and the broader automotive industry through project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program pursuing a BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and online research tools.
- Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- US work authorization (sponsorship is not available for this position).
