About the role#
This internship supports the Cox Conserves team in executing enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives. You will work with internal and external partners to reduce the environmental impact of operations. The role involves developing projects focused on carbon, water, waste, and biodiversity.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to support conservation efforts.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of sustainability data across company locations.
- Conduct secondary research on integrating new growth businesses into corporate sustainability strategies.
- Support strategic programmatic development.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A passion for environmental sustainability and resource conservation.
- An understanding of organizational sustainability practices and management principles.
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 apps including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with geospatial software.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- LEED, ISSP, or similar certifications are preferred.

- Compensation: $22.02 - $33.08 per hour.
- Travel: This role may require 5-15% travel.
