About the role#
Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is hiring a Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (M/E/P) Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site role supports the engineering team by preparing construction documents, coordinating project details, and resolving design issues. You will gain experience in drafting, engineering calculations, and research while working directly with engineers and architects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing design and construction documents.
- Review and coordinate details and dimensions to ensure constructability.
- Perform drafting tasks and compile engineering data.
- Research and recommend solutions for design document conflicts or errors.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate M/E/P systems into project plans.
- Review drawings and specifications for compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain project documentation to support management and quality assurance.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of M/E/P systems and sustainable design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit.
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve design conflicts.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $24 - $29 per hour.
