Field Operations Co-op

About the role#

The Field Operations Co-op supports the project team by assisting with safety program administration, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This role provides hands-on experience in field coordination, quality assurance, and project management within a construction environment.

What you'll do#

• Support the administration of the project safety program to ensure a compliant work environment.
• Assist the assistant superintendent, superintendent, and project manager with daily activities, including preparing reports, conducting safety walks, and updating schedules.
• Participate in the quality assurance program by attending meetings, performing site inspections, and verifying material compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to support adherence to project timelines and safety requirements.
• Utilize construction management software and tools to track and update project information.
• Monitor material deliveries and maintain project documentation such as logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards, practices, and protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and an aptitude for learning construction management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
• Basic understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method (CPM) concepts.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
