Field Operations Co-op

About the role#

The Field Operations Co-op supports Superintendents and Project Managers with safety program administration, quantity tracking, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This full-time, on-site role provides hands-on experience in field coordination, schedule management, and construction quality.

What you'll do#

• Support the administration of the project safety program to ensure a compliant work environment.
• Provide technical assistance by interpreting contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
• Assist the project team with daily and weekly activities, including preparing daily reports, conducting safety walks, and updating project schedules.
• Participate in the quality assurance program by attending meetings, performing site inspections, and verifying material compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to support adherence to project timelines and safety requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking.
• Monitor onsite material deliveries and inventory to facilitate project progress.
• Utilize construction management software to accurately track and update project information.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or Construction Management.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards, practices, and protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and an aptitude for learning construction management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
• Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and reporting.
• Basic understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method (CPM) concepts.
