Field Operations Co-op

About the role#

The Field Operations Co-op supports Superintendents and Project Managers with safety program administration, quantity tracking, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This position provides hands-on experience in field coordination, schedule management, and construction quality.

What you'll do#

• Support the administration of the project safety program to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Provide technical assistance by interpreting contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
• Assist the assistant superintendent, superintendent, and project manager with daily and weekly activities, including daily reports, safety walks, and quantity reports.
• Develop a clear understanding of the overall project schedule, including critical path analysis.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to support adherence to project timelines and safety requirements.
• Review short-term planning, participate in quality assurance inspections, and monitor material deliveries.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards, practices, and protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
• Basic understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method (CPM) concepts.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
