About the role#
The Field Operations Co-op supports superintendents and project managers with daily site activities. You will gain hands-on experience in field coordination, schedule management, and quality control while working on-site in New York for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program to maintain a compliant work environment.
- Provide technical assistance by interpreting contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
- Assist the project team with daily and weekly tasks, including preparing reports and conducting safety walks.
- Develop an understanding of the overall project schedule, including critical path analysis.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure work stays on schedule and meets safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Basic understanding of construction scheduling and critical path method concepts.
