About the role#
The Field Operations Co-op supports Superintendents and Project Managers with safety program administration, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This full-time, on-site role provides hands-on experience in field coordination, quality assurance, and project management within the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program to maintain a compliant work environment.
- Provide technical assistance by interpreting contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
- Assist with daily and weekly activities, including preparing daily reports, conducting safety walks, and updating project schedules.
- Participate in the quality assurance program by attending meetings, performing site inspections, and verifying material compliance.
- Monitor onsite material deliveries and inventory to support project progress.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and maintain project documentation such as logs and RFI tracking.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, Real Estate, or Construction Management.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
- Basic understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method (CPM) concepts.
