About the role#
The Field Operations Co-op supports superintendents and project managers with daily site activities. You will gain hands-on experience in field coordination, schedule management, and quality control. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Albany, New York, for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program to maintain a compliant work environment.
- Interpret contract drawings, submittals, and technical project documentation.
- Assist the superintendent and project manager with daily and weekly tasks, including report preparation and safety walks.
- Monitor onsite material deliveries and manage inventory levels.
- Use construction management software to track and update project information.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss site conditions, updates, and challenges.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and reporting.
