About the role#
As an ER Nurse Intern at Medical Center Enterprise, you will support patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning and helping the healthcare team provide safe and organized care. You will work in a PRN capacity in our Emergency Room.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care within your scope of practice, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with patient hygiene.
- Perform hourly rounding and engage in purposeful interactions with patients.
- Communicate clearly with the care team, report changes in patient conditions, and participate in bedside shift reports.
- Maintain and clean equipment such as glucometers, scales, and bladder scanners.
- Document all tasks and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to meet safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification from the AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- A Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
