About the role#
McLeod Health is hiring a Nurse Extern for the Medical Intensive Care Unit in Little River, South Carolina. This is a part-time, paid position for nursing students. You will gain clinical experience while working on-site under the guidance of our nursing staff.
What you'll do#
You will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patient care. Your daily tasks include:
- Obtaining patient vitals.
- Assisting with bathing, feeding, dressing, transporting, and grooming.
- Conducting hourly rounds to check on patient well-being.
- Creating a secure and comfortable environment for patients and their visitors.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
