About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning and assisting with essential tasks to help maintain a safe, organized, and therapeutic environment for patients.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with hygiene.
- Communicate clearly with the care team about patient conditions and participate in shift reports.
- Document all tasks and observations accurately and on time.
- Keep patient rooms and shared workspaces clean and organized.
- Maintain basic equipment like glucometers and scales.
- Perform hourly rounding to interact with patients and support their comfort.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Valid CPR certification from the AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the State Department of Public Safety.
