About the role#
The Vice President for Events leads the planning of all events for the Business Competition Team. This includes organizing mock competitions, team dinners, chapter meetings, and travel for state, national, and international competitions. You will report to the Director of the Business Competition Team and the President of the team to ensure all events run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Manage the planning of all team events.
- Coordinate with the Director, President, and travel agent to organize logistics for out-of-town travel, including lodging, meals, and transportation.
- Create detailed itineraries for travel and competitions.
- Work with the VP of Team Development to secure judges and reserve space for mock competitions.
- Organize team meals and outings to build culture and relationships.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Columbia College, with preference for junior or senior standing.
- One year of experience with CSMAC.
- Proficiency in graphic design and social media.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Columbia, Missouri.
- The role is paid at a rate of 16 to 17 dollars per hour.
