About the role#
The President of the Business Competition Team leads the Student Executive Board and manages the DECA and FBLA chapters at Columbia College. You will report to the Director of the Business Competition Team and the Robert W. Plaster School of Business Events. This role focuses on team leadership, event planning, and ensuring organizational requirements are met.
What you'll do#
- Lead the Student Executive Board and guide the creation of the team mission and long-term plan.
- Oversee marketing, recruitment, event planning, and financial needs.
- Hold bi-weekly meetings with the Student Executive Board to track progress.
- Plan and execute meetings for the Business Competition Team, DECA, and FBLA.
- Ensure DECA and FBLA chapters meet their respective organizational requirements.
- Delegate tasks from the Director to the appropriate team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Columbia College, with junior or senior standing preferred.
- One year of experience with CSMAC.
- Experience with graphic design and social media.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Graphic Design, or Communications are relevant to this work.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in Columbia, Missouri.
- The role is full-time and paid at a rate of $17-18 per hour.
