About the role#
Student Ambassadors support the Day Campus Admissions Office by providing a welcoming experience for prospective students and their families. This part-time position involves representing the college to guests and assisting the admissions team with recruitment efforts.
What you'll do#
- Lead in-depth walking tours of the Columbia College traditional campus.
- Answer questions regarding academics, student life, housing, dining, and the application process.
- Share personal experiences to create a relatable atmosphere for visitors.
- Assist with outreach to potential students through phone calls and handwritten postcards.
- Collaborate with your supervisor to provide feedback on campus tours and recruitment events.
- Support the admissions team with event preparation, set-up, and clean-up.
- Attend monthly Student Ambassador meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at Columbia College.
- A minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media content creation.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- A commitment to hospitality and customer service.
