About the role#
This internship program provides students with exposure to industry operations through hands-on work in manufacturing and quality control. You will work in administrative and operational areas, apply classroom concepts to business operations, and receive 1-on-1 mentorship. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support the company safety culture and follow all safety initiatives.
- Help quality control staff with lab duties, materials testing, and mix designs.
- Perform aggregate sampling and gradation testing at quarries, gravel pits, and labs.
- Assist work crews in manufacturing and crushing operations.
- Operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor tasks.
- Participate in production and quality control planning.
- Meet regularly with an assigned mentor to discuss your progress.
- Complete a capstone project and presentation for company leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Mining, Industrial, or Civil Engineering (or a related field).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions and around moving equipment.
