About the role#
As a Geology Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working on active mining projects at our Wharf operation. You will be exposed to various parts of the mining sector to build a well-rounded understanding of the industry. The program concludes with a group project where you will identify an area for improvement and present your findings to company leaders.
What you'll do#
- Work on real projects that contribute to mining operations.
- Collaborate with other interns to develop a group presentation.
- Present your project to company leadership.
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure production goals are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or master's degree program in a relevant field.
- Strong academic performance in your coursework.
- Ability to work in all conditions and environments, including frequent outdoor work.
- Capability to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Ability to walk on slopes and uneven ground every day.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
