    About the role#

    Crop Technician Interns perform diagnostic tasks throughout the growing season to support informed decision making. You will spend 75% of your time in the field and 25% participating in training, tours, and professional development events. This is a part-time, rolling internship.

    What you'll do#

    • Scout fields to identify weeds, insects, diseases, stand counts, and growth stages.
    • Create and submit detailed scouting reports.
    • Use drones to gather aerial imagery and data.
    • Collect corn and soybean tissue samples for laboratory testing.
    • Perform soil moisture tests and install monitoring equipment.
    • Gather soil nitrate samples to track nutrient availability.
    • Manage the placement and removal of field signs.
    • Participate in weekly professional development activities.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, preferably in an agriculture or agronomy program.
    • Ability to work outdoors for long periods in all weather conditions.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
    • Self-motivation and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
    • A valid driver license, good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
    • Proficiency with iPads, GPS software, and standard field equipment.

    • Location: Bremen, Indiana.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • This position is paid and requires travel within the territory.
