    About the role#

    As a Crop Technician Intern, you will perform diagnostic work throughout the growing season. You will support our team by gathering data that helps us make informed agronomic decisions. This role involves significant time in the field, with roughly 75 percent of your time spent outdoors and the remainder dedicated to training and events. This is a part-time, rolling internship.

    What you'll do#

    • Scout fields to identify weeds, insects, diseases, and crop growth stages.
    • Create detailed scouting reports and share observations with the Ag Tech team.
    • Conduct UAV flights to collect aerial imagery and data.
    • Collect and prepare corn or soybean tissue samples.
    • Perform soil moisture tests and install monitoring equipment.
    • Collect soil nitrate samples to track nutrient availability.
    • Organize, place, and remove field signs.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, preferably in an Agriculture program.
    • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
    • Self-motivation to complete tasks with little or no supervision.
    • Proficiency with an iPad, GPS software, and various field equipment.
    • A valid driver license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.

    • Location: Hagerstown, Indiana.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • This position is paid and requires travel within the assigned territory.
