About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will support project engineering activities at our Corpus Christi facility. You will gain hands-on experience by working with fixed and rotating equipment, as well as reliability and integrity management programs. This role involves a mix of office-based documentation work and field-based observation to support ongoing engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project engineering tasks ranging from simple to moderate complexity.
- Review engineering documentation, including P&IDs, site plans, piping schematics, and mechanical or civil detail drawings.
- Create job scopes for active projects and update engineering specifications.
- Edit the engineering training manual to align with current practices.
- Support equipment reliability and integrity plans through updates and creation.
- Consult with Senior Project Engineers and managers on technical tasks.
- Conduct site visits to witness activities, verify project scopes, and observe inspection or construction work.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Current enrollment in an accredited Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering program.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior academic standing.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
