About the role#
Chevron is hiring for the Health, Safety and Environment Specialist position. This is a full-time, paid role for individuals with two years of experience or less. We are looking for people who can work in various domestic locations as opportunities arise.
What you'll do#
Your responsibilities will vary depending on your specific focus area. You will be part of a team delivering performance in health, safety, and environment. Tasks include:
- Advising teams on environmental and safety regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Developing safety procedures, guidelines, and environmental impact assessments.
- Conducting exposure assessments, safety inspections, and audits.
- Preparing control technology assessments.
- Identifying waste management solutions.
- Designing and delivering safety training courses.
- Evaluating ergonomic risks and developing strategies to improve health performance.
What you'll need#
We are looking for candidates currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in one of the following fields:
- Industrial Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or Occupational Safety and Health.
- Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Civil Engineering (with an environmental emphasis).
- Environmental Sciences (master’s or PhD preferred).

- Locations: Richmond, El Segundo, and Bakersfield, California; Houston, Midland, and Pasadena, Texas; Covington, Louisiana; Pascagoula, Mississippi; Salt Lake City, Utah; Ames, Iowa; and Greeley, Colorado.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
