About the role#
GeoEngineers is looking for students to join our team for a Summer 2027 internship. This role provides hands-on experience in environmental site assessment and remediation. You will work alongside professional engineers and scientists to contribute to group projects, spending time both in the field and in the office.
What you'll do#
- Monitor field explorations, such as drilling and test pit activities, and construction projects.
- Document site conditions and complete field reports.
- Perform environmental field sampling for soil, groundwater, surface water, sub-slab vapor, and indoor air.
- Learn the environmental regulatory system, including the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and related documentation.
- Assist with office deliverables like data tabulation, proposals, and report preparation.
- Maintain field equipment and support safe work practices on-site.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The position is on-site.
