About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring an intern for the Infrastructure and Energy team. This is a paid, full-time consultant role based in Washington, D.C. for the Winter 2027 term. You will gain professional experience by contributing to the research activities and corporate management of the Bank.
What you'll do#
- Conduct econometric analyses.
- Perform literature reviews on infrastructure and energy topics.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Contribute to reports and written outputs that summarize research findings.
- Provide general support for the team's research activities.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active graduate student in Economics, Political Science, Public Health, International Relations, or Business Administration.
- You have completed at least 50% of your graduate coursework.
- Your graduation date must occur after the internship concludes.
- You are a national of an IDB member country.
- You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
- You have not previously worked at the IDB or IDB Invest as a staff member, contractor, or through any other contractual modality.
- You do not have family members currently working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
