About the role#
As a Facilities Engineering Intern, you will support Chevron operations across production, pipeline, refining, or chemical production sectors. Interns may be placed at specific operating sites or within the centralized Chevron Technical Center to support global operations. This role is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience and evaluate candidates for potential future full-time employment.
What you'll do#
- Reliability & Integrity: Focus on the asset integrity, reliability, maintainability, and operability of operating assets.
- Technical Safety: Identify hazards, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies using engineering design principles for facilities and capital projects.
- Engineering Design & Projects: Deliver high-quality designs and ensure predictable project execution through the application of sound engineering processes.
- General Facilities Engineering: Support operating facilities by applying broad technical engineering knowledge and executing small projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Chemical Engineering.
- Demonstrated strong academic performance in core engineering coursework.
- Proficiency in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
