2026-2027 Earth Scientist (Previous Intern) Full Time

About the role#

Earth Scientists at Chevron work within multi-disciplinary teams alongside geologists, geophysicists, engineers, data scientists, and software developers. This role is designed for individuals who have completed a previous internship program with an integrated oil or international service company. You will participate in a competency-based employee development program that includes technical training and mentorship, with opportunities to work across various assignments and locations.

What you'll do#

• Develop technical skills in geoscience, geophysics, and petrophysics assignments focused on exploration, development, reservoir characterization, and well operations.
• Contribute value to projects based on your degree and academic preparation.
• Solve complex problems using cutting-edge digital technologies and techniques.
• Engage in a structured career path that may include roles in domestic upstream operations, global exploration, or research-focused centers of excellence.

What you'll need#

• Completion of the last year of a Master’s or Doctorate thesis program, or less than 2 years of post-graduate experience in Physics, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong academic performance in core program areas.
• A professional or academic focus in a technical area aligned with Chevron’s business needs.
• Previous experience in an integrated oil or international service company intern program.
• Ability to drive on a routine basis as required by the position.
