About the role#
The Corporate Affairs internship provides an opportunity to support the management of social, political, and reputational risks. Interns assist in strengthening strategic advocacy, communications, and social investments to build confidence in the company and the industry. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Support tasks related to corporate media relations, employee communications, and executive communications.
- Assist with digital and social media engagement, event support, and brand management.
- Track and report on key U.S. and foreign policy issues in specific regions.
- Analyze policy and regulatory issues in countries where the company operates.
- Provide support on advocacy initiatives and prepare responses to inquiries regarding company positions.
- Attend briefings and congressional hearings on policy, legislative, and regulatory matters.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising senior or graduate student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Business Administration, or International Relations.
- Awareness of the implications of the U.S. political structure and the environment in which the energy sector operates.
- Experience in federal and international policy.
- Understanding of legislative and regulatory processes at the state and federal levels.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
