Music Technology Lab Student Assistant

About the role#

The Music Technology Lab Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the lab at Chatham University. This role is open to current students, particularly those studying Graphic Design, Media Studies, or Communications. This is a paid, on-site, part-time position.

What you'll do#

• Hold regular open lab hours to provide support to users.
• Assist lab users with the operation of music technology and related equipment.
• Perform general lab maintenance tasks.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process for lendable equipment.
• Notify other campus managers if holding multiple student positions simultaneously.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student at Chatham University.
• Familiarity with music technology and associated hardware.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A commitment to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive lab environment.

Location & details#

• Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Term: Rolling.
• Work Limits: Students may not exceed 20 hours per week across all campus jobs or 980 hours per calendar year. Employment does not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
