    About the role#

    The AAC and Assistive Technology Lab at Ithaca College is hiring a student worker to support daily operations. This position is suited for undergraduate students majoring in speech-language pathology who are interested in assistive technology and plan to pursue graduate study in the field.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage and maintain the lab's hardware and software, including setting up iPads and updating applications.
    • Provide basic technology support to students and other lab visitors.
    • Learn a variety of AAC systems to assist others in using these tools.
    • Collaborate with occupational therapy students and other peers working in the space.
    • Support research activities, outreach, demonstrations, and educational events.
    • Keep the lab environment organized and accessible.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as an SLP undergraduate student.
    • Dependability and a curious approach to technology.
    • Comfort learning new software and devices.
    • A genuine interest in AAC.
    • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are more important than prior experience.

    • Location: Ithaca, New York.
    • Pay: $16 per hour.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Work modality: On-site.
