Chatham Choir Student Assistant/Accompanist

About the role#

The Chatham Choir Student Assistant/Accompanist supports the choral director with daily rehearsal operations and administrative tasks. This role is divided into two primary areas: managing the choral library and music organization, and handling event marketing, social media, and student recruitment.

What you'll do#

• Assist the choral director with the day-to-day rehearsal process.
• Lead sectionals for choir members.
• Organize and distribute sheet music.
• Maintain the choral library.
• Assist with event marketing, production, and execution.

What you'll need#

• Ability to read music and knowledge of choral octavo scores.
• Availability during Chatham Choir rehearsals on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., plus additional hours for concerts.
• Strong organizational skills to assist with administrative tasks.
• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Art, Graphic Design, or Psychology is preferred.
