About the role#
CF Industries is hiring a Turnaround Engineering Intern to support the planning, execution, and improvement of plant turnaround activities. You will work alongside engineering, operations, and maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience with process safety, reliability, and capital projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering and operations teams with the development and tracking of turnaround work scopes.
- Perform field verification of equipment tags, work packages, P&IDs, and drawings.
- Provide field support during outage execution and monitor assigned scopes.
- Support turnaround-related capital and reliability projects.
- Participate in PHA, MOC, and PSSR activities.
- Conduct visual inspections of vessels, heat exchangers, heaters, and towers.
- Document field changes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Track project schedules and assist with equipment installation and startup activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical Engineering degree program.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented industrial setting.
