About the role#
As a Polymers Chemical Engineering Intern, you will work with our engineering and maintenance teams to support projects within Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain functions. You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while applying engineering principles to real-world projects. This position is a full-time, 12-week program during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering assignments using standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data and performance metrics.
- Document and maintain technical products and project data.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and other project deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Initiative, curiosity, and an innovative mindset.
- Strong motivation to learn and succeed.
- Willingness to travel.

- Location: West Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly rate up to $23.00, with housing stipends considered in certain situations.
